Normally, I grind out closed positions. This game was different — I went for an early attack, and it felt amazing! Playing below my peak rating made it even more fun.
Opened the position and launched an attack. I missed a tactical idea, but coordinating my pieces to checkmate the black king was very satisfying.
A knight and queen combo saved me just in time. It was intense — I nearly miscalculated, but luck and calculation aligned.
Open Sicilian vs. Averbakh Dragon — my heart rate kept increasing until I saw Bh6. Pure joy!
Chopping the king side with both knights was extremely satisfying. One of my nicest middle-game checkmates.
Following Fischer's advice on the h/g pawns led to an easy win. Even if it wasn’t the Dragon variation, it worked beautifully.
